What is Chi Qong?

 

Chi Qong is a sequence of gentle and rhythmic movements with emphasis on the practice of breathing technique.  It helps to focus on the mind and soul.

 

Chi Qong is being regarded as a good springboard to learn a Tai Chi sequence. 

 

Regular practice of the Chi Qong will improve the functions of:

 + Your lymphatic system and
 + Maintaining your health

 

Chi Qong is simple to learn and can be practiced either standing or seated, so is ideal for those who have mobility issues.

 

Eight Strands of the Silk Brocade Chi Qong sequence

 

Created by the Imperial Doctors in China over 800 years ago, this sequence consists of eight simple movements.  It was created to help maintain the good health and general well-being of the residents within the Palace.

 

Each movement aims to stimulate the function of specific internal organs to enhance the general health of the practitioner.
